“How can I teach English better?” Every good teacher has wondered how to improve their teaching, but what are some practical ways in which we can all provide more effective instruction for our typical language students? In today’s talk, we will consider insights for teaching English, with special attention to strategies dealing with vocabulary and grammar. These insights will come from current research on second language vocabulary learning as well as my experiences in learning Spanish, Japanese, and German.
